When is the Komen Vermont Virtual Snowshoe? 
The Vermont Virtual Snowshoe is Sunday, January 17, 2021. Registration will remain open online through Noon (12 PM) on Sunday, January 17. 

Where is the Komen Vermont Virtual Snowshoe being held?
For the safety of our constituents this year's Vermont snowshoe event is being held virtually. Registrants are being asked to #SnowshoeWhereYouAre .

How much is the Vermont Virtual Snowshoe registration fee?
Registration is FREE.

Do I get a T-Shirt?
All registered survivors/those living with metastatic disease will receive a long-sleeved event tee-shirt. All other registered snowshoers raising $50 or more will receive a long-sleeved event tee-shirt. There will be two tee-shirt distribution dates/times scheduled in Vermont and tee-shirts will be mailed as well. 

How can I register?
You can register online here. Registration is FREE. Online registration will close Sunday, January 17 at 12 PM. There is no In-person Registration.

How far is the Snowshoe race and walk? 
With the Vermont Snowshoe event being virtual, you may snowshoe any distance you choose. Remember ... if you can walk ... you can snowshoe! 

Is this event subject cancellation due to weather?
Due to the virtual nature of the Komen Vermont Virtual Snowshoe, it is up to you to decide about the weather and snowshoeing on Sunday, January 17. All registrants are advised to follow all state and local guidance and mandates when accesssing an outdoor facility.  

What if I wish to travel to Vermont for the Komen Vermont Virtual Snowshoe? Anyone planning travel to Vermont should visit healthvermont.gov/covid-19/travel-quarantine for the latest information regarding travel restrictions (ie quarantining).


Fundraising FAQ

Does my participation require fundraising?
You are not required to fundraise, but we do encourage all participants to fundraise - especially with Free registration. Reminder, a minimum of $50 in fundraising earns a registered non-survivor snowshoer a long-sleeved event tee-shirt.

Does the money raised stay in our communities?
Funds raised through the Komen Vermont Virtual Snowshoe support the Komen Helpline and Treatment Assitance Program (providing emotional and financial assistance to those facing a breast cancer diagnosis in need), and Komen's national breast cancer research program.

Where do I send donations? 
Checks and Money orders (please do NOT mail cash) should be made payable to: Susan G. Komen (memo line: Participant name and VTSnowshoe). Please mail your donations, with a completed fundraising form, to:

For donations on behalf of an individual participant or a team, please include that information with your check.

Is there a deadline for fundraising? 
All donations on your behalf that are entered online by January 16, 2021 will be used to determing fundraising awards. Any donations received subsequent to that date will be credited to your participant center, but not used in the determination of awards.

When will I receive my fundraising awards?
Fundraising awards will be announced on Sunday, January 17 through social media posting in the Facebook group 2021 New England Virtual Snowshoe Events, and during the afternoon Zoom Social Hour, as well as by direct e-mail to the recognized fundraisers. Awards will be mailed as needed following the Snowshoe event.

How do I form a team?
It's easy (and fun!). You can form a team (at the time of your own registration) or join an existing team online, just click the appropriate link on our registration page. All teams require one team captain. For more information, contact us at 802-548-4691 or lmaness@komen.org.

Do teams have to fundraise?
Teams are not required to fundraising, but we strongly encourage fundraising. Reminder, all registered survivors will receive a tee-shirt AND registered non-survivor snowshoers raising a minimum of $50 will earn a long-sleeved event tee-shirt. One of my team members registered as an individual when they meant to join my team. How do they correct this? 
Please contact Linda Maness at lmaness@komen.org to get this corrected.

Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members? 
We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.

Can one person pick up t-shirts for an entire team?
At this time, two tee-shirt distribution dates as being planned for within Vermont. A captain, or other team member, may pick up all survivor and earned tee-shirts. Please contact Linda Maness at lmaness@komen.org to make this arrangement. Please make sure that all members of your team are aware that you'll be picking up for them! 


Our Lodging Parter, The Grafton Inn in Grafton, VT (one mile from the Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center) is offering a Saturday night stay rate of $159 (plus tax). Just mention the Komen Vermont Virtual Snowshoe at the time of calling (802) 843-2253.
